Xavier Thomas is a freelance character designer and illustrator from Florida with a passion for representing diverse peoples, creating complex characters, and showcasing the beauty of the South.
Currently, they are working as a children's book illustrator with an independent author!
Past experiences include, visual development artist for upcoming SCAD Animation Studios film, Lost in Pomegranates (2026), Illustration intern at Afro-Audacity Animation for A Black Sketch Comedy Show (2026) and card game illustrator for Prosper with Dragons. Xavier has been a mentee under Caleb Staker since 2025.
When they're not drawing, you will most likely find them playing cat-themed puzzle games on their iPad or yelling at their TV playing Lies of P.
